From Humble Beginnings!

The ladies' Mission Aid was organized in 1947 shortly after the Narrows Union Sunday school of Outing, Minnesota. The society was the major interest that spearheaded the building of the Narrows Community Church chartered on July 3rd, 1948.

Narrows Community Church was the first church of Outing, MN. It originated from a rabbit hutch donated to the community by Cecilia and Clarence Burr Johnson and was moved by truck to its present location from East Leavitt lake road.

The Narrows Sunday School, Missionary and Community Church were organized by Sunday School Missionary A.R.Frei.

In 1955, Reverend E.C. Steffy became the pastor and served for 35 years.

The first two couples married in at NCC were Barbara & Howard Dutton and Jeannette & Chuck Fairbanks.
