From Humble Beginnings!

The first two couples married in at NCC were Barbara & Howard Dutton and Jeannette & Chuck Fairbanks in 1955. (Jeannette still attends today!)

The ladies' Mission Aid was organized in 1947 shortly after the Narrows Union Sunday school of Outing, Minnesota. The society was the major interest that spearheaded the building of the Narrows Community Church chartered on July 3rd, 1948. The first church of outing was part of a rabbit hutch donated to the community by Cecilia and Clarence Burr Johnson. It was moved by truck to its present location from East Leavitt lake road. The narrows Sunday school, Missionary and Community Church were organized by Sunday School Missionary A.R.Frei. Reverend E.C. Steffy became the church's pastor in 1955 and served for 35 years.
